Administrator/Minute Taker • Job Type: Temporary, Full-time • Location: Bolton, Lancashire, BL4 7PD • Duration: 2 months • Pay: £13.77 per hour PAYE • Working Hours: 8:30am till 5pm (Office Based) Bolton Council are seeking an Administrator/Minute Taker to join their CLDT Team. This role offers a fantastic development opportunity for individuals with experience in minute taking or those willing to learn. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the team and management through various administrative tasks. Day-to-day of the role: • Organise and take minutes during meetings, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution. • Compile duty rotas and support IT call requests. • Update spreadsheets, collate information, and liaise with management. • Support the Lead Senior Admin by delegating work, managing staff rotas to ensure reception cover, and undertaking general administrative duties. • Manage and monitor petty cash and floats. • Assist the team with annual leave scheduling, calendar management, and additional duty rotas. • Manage an administrative team, including responsibilities for recruitment, development, and performance management. • Oversee resources and contribute to the resource planning process. • Attend internal and external meetings to represent departmental/work issues appropriately. • Monitor and maintain records/reports to meet internal and external requirements. • Provide advice and recommendations within your work area. • Contribute to organising short or medium-term process changes. • Lead short-term assignment teams and contribute to Council-wide projects. • Control stock of office supplies and other service-specific stock items. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Experience in minute taking or a strong willingness to learn. • Proven administrative experience, preferably within a similar role. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. • Strong organisational and communication skills. • Competency in using IT systems and software for data management and general administration. • Experience in managing a team and overseeing administrative processes is desirable.
