The OpportunityThis is a rare and genuinely exciting role. You won't be one of hundreds of developers in a faceless tech firm, you'll be a key player in a high growth professional services group, with direct visibility at senior leadership level from day one. Working as part of a small, highly capable tech team, you'll play a pivotal role in designing, building, and embedding AI-driven solutions and automation across our businesses and the wider group, spanning financial services, professional services, and beyond. What You'll Be Doing • Developing and implementing AI tools and automation to drive efficiency across business operations • Collaborating closely with the Head of Tech to shape and deliver our tech roadmap • Building and maintaining internal systems, applications, and data workflows • Identifying opportunities to use technology to streamline processes and improve the client and staff experience • Supporting tech needs across multiple businesses within the group, giving you broad exposure and variety • Staying ahead of developments in AI and emerging technologies and bringing ideas to the table What We're Looking ForEssential: • Ability to code PHP without reliance on frameworks • Experience administering MySQL databases • Solid understanding of HTML, JavaScript and CSS • Familiarity with Git and version control workflows • Good understanding of workflows / process flows • Able to work as part of a team, while managing your own workload and priorities • Commercially minded, you understand that technology should solve real business problems • A self starter who can work both independently and collaboratively within a small team • Strong communication skills, able to translate technical ideas to non technical stakeholders • Passionate about AI and what it can do for businesses right now, not just in theory Nice to have: • General IT troubleshooting • WordPress development • AWS experience • Experience in financial services or professional services is a bonus, but not essential - attitude and ability matter most What's In It For You • Salary of £50,000+ depending on experience • Performance bonus of up to 20% of salary, linked to project delivery, code quality and your contribution to our AI roadmap, and company profitability • Potential for a long term incentive plan as the business scales, to be discussed and set at an appropriate level for the role • Annual learning budget for courses, certifications and the latest AI tooling, we want you growing with the role • A clear path to progress as the business scales, working directly under and learning from our Head of Tech • Real ownership of meaningful projects from day one, in a team small enough that your work genuinely matters • Hybrid / flexible working available • Direct access to senior leadership and genuine influence on strategy • A varied, intellectually stimulating role spanning multiple businesses • A supportive, entrepreneurial culture where great work is recognised and rewarded • Based in Knutsford, Cheshire, one of the North West's most desirable locations Ready to Build Something Brilliant?If you're a talented developer who wants more than just writing code - who wants to be part of something genuinely exciting, make a real impact, and build a career with outstanding long term prospects, we'd love to hear from you.
