AI Voice Engineer (Contract) Fully Remote £300-£560 Per Day Outside IR35 Immediate Start 3 Months Initially The Company They are a well-established organisation operating within a regulated environment, focused on delivering better outcomes for their customers through technology. As part of a wider AI transformation programme, they have already seen strong success with voice AI solutions internationally and are now expanding these capabilities into the UK. The business is investing heavily in AI, with clear backing from senior leadership and a strong appetite for innovation. You will join a collaborative data and AI function with a focus on practical, scalable solutions. The Role and Deliverables • Design, build and optimise AI-powered voice agents for real-world customer interactions • Develop and integrate voice pipelines using leading speech and conversational AI technologies • Build robust Python-based services to support conversational workflows • Improve voice latency, realism, reasoning capability and overall user experience • Evaluate architectural approaches and recommend best practice for scalable voice AI deployment • Define a long-term voice AI framework that balances performance, cost, compliance and customer outcomes Your Skills & Experience • Strong experience building production-grade AI voice or conversational AI systems • Commercial experience with voice technologies such as Azure Voice, ElevenLabs, Deepgram or similar • Excellent Python engineering capability in a production environment • Experience working with real-time conversational systems and voice SDKs • Strong understanding of speech-to-text, text-to-speech and LLM integrations • Ability to challenge technical decisions and operate independently in a fast-moving environment • Exposure to regulated industries or customer-facing AI solutions is beneficial How to Apply If you are interested in shaping the future of AI-driven voice solutions, apply now to learn more about this opportunity.
