Air Import Specialist

Right Now Group are recruiting for an Import Clerk to join a leading freight forwarder based in Heathrow (LHR - Polar Park). This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Air Import Specialist who is confident in handling Air Imports and capable of training and developing others as the company looks to bring their import function fully in-house. Key Responsibilities - Air Import Specialist • Manage and complete import files to required company standards • Monitor and action import-related emails in a timely manner • Handle import entries and ensure regulatory compliance • Issue import quotations and take bookings directly with customers • Produce collection and delivery notes • Liaise daily with customers, warehouses, and customs officials to ensure smooth operations • Manage ERTS (Enhanced Remote Transit Shed) processes • Check, calculate, and charge storage costs accurately • Oversee charging and costing of import jobs • Provide support, guidance, and training to colleagues on import processes Key Requirements - Air Import Specialist • Minimum 2-3 years' Air Import experience (essential) • Ability to handle quotations, bookings, and full import processes independently • Knowledge of Sequoia and NCTS systems desirable • Break-bulk experience advantageous • Strong customer service and communication skills • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure • Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of mentoring others What's On Offer - Air Import Specialist • Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience) • Shift: Monday - Friday • Hours: 09:00 - 17:30 • Additional Information: Excellent opportunity to make a real impact in shaping the imports team and processes
