Description
• Champion Analytics Governance standards and promote best practice across the organisation.
• Identify, classify, catalogue and maintain inventories of Key Data Uses (KDUs) and End User Computing (EUC) tools.
• Conduct governance assessments and gap analyses against established policies, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Define and track remediation plans with business owners to address identified governance gaps.
• Establish and maintain governance frameworks covering the lifecycle of analytics assets, from development through to retirement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business and technology teams to drive adoption of governance standards.
• Support compliance initiatives aligned to BCBS239 and broader regulatory expectations.
• Produce governance reporting, project updates and management information for senior stakeholders.
• Act as a trusted advisor, educating teams on analytics governance principles and driving cultural change.
Profile
You will bring a blend of governance expertise, regulatory knowledge, stakeholder management skills, and a passion for driving organisational change.
Essential Experience
• Proven experience establishing Analytics Governance and/or EUC Governance frameworks.
• Strong understanding of BCBS239 principles and data-related regulatory requirements within financial services.
• Experience working within banking or financial services environments.
• Hands-on experience with governance and cataloguing tools such as Collibra, Apparity, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of analytics and reporting lifecycles, including relevant SDLC practices.
• Experience facilitating governance adoption across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Excellent communication, influencing, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Desirable Experience
• Knowledge of ECB-related regulatory programmes.
• Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Understanding of enterprise data governance, data lineage, and metadata management.
• Experience enabling controlled self-service analytics environments.
Job Offer
• Daily rate between £500 and £700, dependent on the level of experience.
• 2-3 days per week in the office (London - Liverpool Street)
• 6 month initial contract
