Job description

Join Manchester's Neighbourhoods Service as an Anti-Social Behaviour Case Officer. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality services through detailed technical regulatory knowledge and enforcement of relevant legislation. You will be instrumental in developing investigative procedures and ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of the community. Day-to-day of the role: • Provide expert advice and guidance on enforcing standards and regulating community activity. • Lead on the delivery of statutory enforcement obligations and liaise with other Council departments or relevant bodies as necessary. • Ensure all requests are handled within designated timescales and that actions are proportionate, effective, and of high quality. • Offer high-level support to both internal and external customers and stakeholders, maintaining excellent customer service standards. • Maintain expertise in subject matter specialism, undertaking research to ensure the Council adopts and maintains best practices. • Manage data quality, ensuring information recording is timely, accurate, and complete. • Potentially undertake management duties, including direct line management or matrix management of a team. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Experience in compliance, regulation, or a similar field. • Ability to communicate complex information effectively across all levels of staff. • Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities. • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills. • Good literacy and numeracy skills. • Proficiency in using multiple applications and software packages. • Full UK Driving License. • Willingness to consent to and apply for an enhanced DBS Disclosure. • Knowledge of ASB legislation and its practical application.
