AOG / Pharmaceutical Operator Location: Heathrow Airport Salary: £38,000 – £45,000 per annum (DOE) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off – Day Shift Only Job OverviewWe are currently recruiting for an experienced AOG / Pharmaceutical Operator to join a busy airfreight operations team based at Heathrow Airport. This role involves the handling of time-critical Aircraft on Ground (AOG) shipments and temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical cargo, ensuring all movements are completed efficiently, compliantly, and within strict timeframes. Key Responsibilities • Manage end-to-end coordination of AOG and urgent airfreight shipments • Handle pharmaceutical cargo in line with GDP (Good Distribution Practice) standards • Maintain cold chain integrity and temperature control requirements • Liaise with airlines, customs, handling agents, and transport providers • Process airway bills, customs entries, and relevant shipping documentation • Track shipments in real time and proactively resolve operational issues • Prioritise urgent and time-critical freight movements • Ensure full compliance with internal procedures and regulatory standards Requirements • Previous experience in airfreight, AOG, or pharmaceutical logistics essential • Strong knowledge of customs procedures and freight documentation • Understanding of GDP and temperature-controlled logistics • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills • Strong problem-solving ability and proactive mindset • Cargo system experience desirable Benefits • Competitive salary of £38,000 – £45,000 (DOE) • Structured 4 on / 4 off day shift pattern • Opportunity to work within specialist, high-priority logistics operations • Career development within the airfreight and pharmaceutical sector • Dynamic Heathrow-based operational environment How to ApplyClick apply now to be considered for this opportunity.
