The RoleReporting into the Finance Director, we are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Manager to lead and develop the Group's transactional finance function. Managing a team of three, you will take ownership of both the sales and purchase ledger functions, ensuring robust financial controls, efficient processes and excellent stakeholder service across the business. This is a hands-on leadership role that will suit someone who enjoys improving processes, developing people and working within a growing private equity-backed environment. Key Responsibilities • Lead, mentor and develop a team of three transactional finance professionals. • Oversee the end-to-end Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions. • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, collections and supplier payments. • Manage cash allocation, credit control and aged debtor reporting. • Monitor supplier relationships and payment processes. • Drive continuous improvement across transactional finance processes and controls. • Support month-end close activities, reconciliations and reporting. • Work closely with internal departments to resolve queries and improve efficiency. • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls. About YouWe're looking for an experienced transactional finance professional who combines strong operational expertise with the ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.You'll ideally have: • Previous experience managing both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions within a fast-paced B2B environment. • Experience working with customers across sectors such as leisure, hospitality, healthcare, facilities management, distribution or other service-led, multi-site industries would be useful. • A strong understanding of high-volume transactional finance, including credit control, supplier management, cash allocation and payment processes. • Proven experience leading, mentoring and developing transactional finance teams. • Excellent knowledge of financial controls and process improvement, with a continuous improvement mindset. • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across finance, operations, customers and suppliers. • Previous experience within a distribution, engineering, service or product-based business would be advantageous. • Experience working within a growing or private equity-backed business would be beneficial, although not essential.
