Asbestos Surveying Administrator Salary: £28,000 Location: Garretts Green, Birmingham Hours: Initial 6-9 month fixed-term contract | Monday to Friday | 37.5–41 hours per week About the Role An excellent opportunity has arisen for an organised and proactive Administrator to join a growing and well-established consultancy specialising in asbestos surveying and compliance services. Supporting a busy team of Surveyors, you'll play a key role in coordinating appointments, managing projects and ensuring survey reports are completed and issued within agreed timescales. This is a varied, fast-paced position where organisation, attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential. Key Responsibilities • Coordinate and schedule asbestos survey appointments with clients and tenants. • Manage survey diaries and allocate work to Surveyors. • Set up and maintain projects across internal systems. • Produce survey job packs and supporting documentation. • Keep clients and internal teams updated on survey progress. • Issue completed survey reports and laboratory results. • Maintain accurate records, trackers and filing systems. • Monitor outstanding surveys and reports, ensuring deadlines are met. • Respond professionally to telephone, email and client enquiries. • Support compliance activities, audits and quality assurance processes. • Produce administrative reports and KPI information. • Work closely with Surveyors, laboratories and internal departments to ensure the smooth delivery of projects. About You The successful candidate will have: • Previous administration or coordination experience within a busy office environment. • Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines. • Strong communication skills with a professional and friendly approach. • A proactive attitude and the ability to work using your own initiative. • Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and internal systems. • A genuine team-player mentality with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
