Assistant Client ManagerGreater Manchester | Hybrid Working | £50,000 - £56,000 + Excellent Benefits Looking for the next step in your practice career? Following continued expansion, they are looking to appoint an ambitious Assistant Client Manager to join their Accounts team in Greater Manchester. This is a role that combines technical expertise, client relationship management and team leadership, offering genuine variety and a clear pathway for future progression. The OpportunityAs an Assistant Client Manager, you'll manage your own portfolio of clients while working closely with Directors and senior leadership to deliver exceptional service and commercial advice. The portfolio includes a broad range of clients, from entrepreneurial start-ups and owner-managed businesses through to established SMEs and growing corporate groups across a variety of sectors. This position offers the perfect blend of client-facing work, team leadership and advisory exposure, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to accelerate their career within a growing Accountancy practice. What You'll Be Doing • Managing a diverse portfolio of clients and acting as their trusted adviser. • Building long-term relationships and becoming the first point of contact for client queries. • Reviewing accounts preparation work and ensuring high-quality service delivery. • Leading, mentoring and developing junior team members. • Working closely with Directors and other service lines to provide joined-up advice. • Supporting business development activities and helping to identify growth opportunities. • Understanding client businesses and proactively adding value beyond compliance services. • Managing workflow and ensuring assignments are delivered on time and to a high standard. What We're Looking For • ACA or ACCA qualified. • Previous experience working within UK practice. • Experience as a Senior Accountant or Assistant Manager. • Strong client-facing skills and the ability to build trusted relationships. • Experience working with owner-managed businesses and SME clients. • Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset. • Strong communication and leadership abilities. • Experience using cloud accounting software and practice management systems. • Knowledge of CCH would be advantageous but is not essential.
