Job description

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and diligent Pick Packer and Warehouse Operative to join our busy logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, preparing orders for dispatch, and maintaining organisation within the warehouse environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in warehouse management and logistics operations while contributing to the smooth running of our supply chain. Previous warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge are advantageous, but full training will be provided for suitable applicants. All positions are paid, including internship roles. Duties • Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently to meet delivery deadlines • Handling materials with care, ensuring correct storage and movement within the warehouse • Loading and unloading goods from lorries using manual handling techniques or forklift trucks where qualified • Operating warehouse management systems to track stock levels, order processing, and inventory control • Assisting with shipping and receiving activities, including documentation and quality checks • Stocking shelves and organising stock in designated areas to optimise space utilisation • Conducting quality control inspections to ensure products meet company standards • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times • Performing mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance as required Experience • Previous experience in a warehouse environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided • Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts is advantageous (licence preferred) • Knowledge of warehouse management systems or similar software is beneficial • Experience in shipping & receiving processes, picking & packing, and stock management is preferred • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily operations • Mechanical knowledge or basic repair skills are a plus but not mandatory • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for quality control tasks • Physical fitness to handle long periods of standing, lifting heavy loads, and moving around the warehouse space Pay: £13.71-£21.25 per hour Benefits: • Company pension • Free parking • On-site parking Work Location: In person
