Job description
The Assistant Company Secretary will report into the Deputy Company Secretary to deliver a structured and effective wide-ranging company secretarial service, whilst ensuring the Group and its subsidiaries comply with their relevant best practice and statutory obligations.

Description
Assistant Company Secretary:
London
• Assist in the preparation and coordination of Committee meetings, including drafting agendas and minutes.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements relevant to the organisation.
• Maintain and update corporate governance frameworks and policies.
• Support the C-Suite with governance-related tasks.
• Manage key corporate documentation, including registers and companies house filings.
• Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on governance matters.
• Provide advice on governance best practices.
• Assist with drafting the governance sections of the Annual Report and Accounts
• Assist with Notice of Meeting and the AGM process
• Support with Board Evaluation
• Manage shareplans and interactions with the registrar, including dividend processes and shareholder queries
• Coordinate with external advisors, such as legal and audit professionals, when needed.
Profile
Assistant Company Secretary
London
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders
• Excellent technical knowledge of the Companies Act 2006, UK Corporate Governance Code and UK Listing Rules
• CGI Qualified
• Demonstrable experience as an Assistant Company Secretary from within a listed business
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
