Key Responsibilities
• Lead the operational delivery of adult social care services.
• Ensure compliance with statutory duties, professional standards and safeguarding responsibilities.
• Drive quality assurance, service performance, continuous improvement and effective use of resources.
• Manage budgets and resources effectively.
• Provide visible leadership across adult social care teams and contribute to wider organisational leadership.
• Work in partnership with health, community and voluntary sector organisations to improve integrated support for residents.
• Support transformation, redesign and modernisation of services in response to demand, policy changes and financial pressures.
• Advise senior leaders, elected members and partnership boards on adult social care issues, risks and opportunities.
• Promote strengths-based practice, independence, prevention and high-quality outcomes for adults and carers.
Candidate Requirements
• Significant senior leadership experience within Adult Social Care.
• Strong understanding of statutory responsibilities, service transformation, partnership working and performance improvement.
• Ability to build credibility with practitioners, stakeholders and partner organisations.
• Proven experience leading through organisational change and service improvement.
• Strong political awareness and stakeholder management skills.
• Commitment to person-centred practice, safeguarding and improving outcomes for local communities.
• Relevant professional qualifications and leadership credentials.
