Job description

Operational Management • Support the Practice Manager in the day-to-day running of the practice. • Assist with developing and implementing practice policies, procedures, and systems. • Ensure efficient administrative processes are maintained across the practice. • Identify opportunities for service improvement and operational efficiency. • Assist in managing premises and facilities issues, liaising with external contractors where required. Staff Management and Support • Support the recruitment, induction, training, and development of staff. • Assist with rota planning and workforce management. • Provide day-to-day guidance and support to administrative and reception teams. • Promote effective communication and teamwork across all staff groups. • Support performance management processes as required. Patient Services • Ensure high standards of patient care and customer service are maintained. • Manage and investigate patient feedback, concerns, and complaints in accordance with practice procedures. • Support initiatives to improve patient experience and access to services. • Promote a welcoming, professional, and patient-focused environment. Governance and Compliance • Assist in ensuring compliance with CQC standards, NHS contractual requirements, and relevant legislation. • Support information governance, data protection, and confidentiality requirements. • Maintain accurate records, audits, and compliance documentation. • Assist in the implementation of risk management and health and safety procedures. Finance and Resources • Support the Practice Manager with budget monitoring and resource management. • Assist with procurement and stock control. • Contribute to the achievement of Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) and enhanced service targets. • Monitor administrative processes to ensure value for money and efficiency Information Technology • Support the effective use of clinical and administrative IT systems. • Assist staff with the implementation of new systems and processes. • Ensure accurate data collection and reporting where required.
