They're looking for an ambitious Audit Senior who wants to take ownership of client relationships, mentor junior staff and develop towards Assistant Manager and beyond. The OpportunityYou'll lead a varied portfolio of audit assignments for a broad range of owner-managed businesses and corporate clients, taking responsibility from planning through to completion. It's a hands-on role with plenty of client interaction, technical challenge and the opportunity to develop your leadership skills by coaching and reviewing junior team members. What You'll Be Doing • Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion. • Preparing and reviewing audit files, statutory accounts and completion work. • Identifying audit risks and working closely with Managers and Partners to resolve technical matters. • Acting as the main day-to-day contact for clients throughout the audit process. • Supervising, coaching and reviewing the work of trainees and junior auditors. • Managing assignments to budget while maintaining exceptional quality standards. • Identifying opportunities to add value for clients and supporting wider advisory work. • Working on a range of ad hoc projects across a diverse client portfolio. About YouYou'll ideally be ACA or ACCA qualified with recent experience gained within UK accountancy practice. You'll also bring: • Experience leading audit assignments from planning through to completion. • Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing and financial reporting standards. • Excellent communication and client relationship skills. • Experience reviewing the work of junior team members. • A proactive, organised approach and the ability to manage multiple assignments. • Experience using audit software such as Inflo, Xero or similar would be advantageous.
