Job description

The post holder will be clinically responsible to the Consultant Radiologists and be expected to perform a wide range of CT, MRI and Nuclear Medicine examinations. Working closely with colleagues you will manage the day to day running of the scanners and liaise with other teams and staff members to ensure the effective use of the scanning service. You will work according to Trust and departmental level protocols and ensure you comply with IRMER18 and IRR17 regulations at all times, ensuring all patient radiation doses are as low as possible and that every exposure is justified. You will ensure the safety of all patients and staff who enter the MRI environment. You will be expected to keep accurate patient records and manage patient images on PACS.
