Business Development Manager Location: Milton Keynes A leading advisory firm is looking to hire a Business Development Manager to join its growing Debt Advisory team, supporting SME and owner-managed businesses. This is a highly commercial role, suited to individuals who enjoy originating and converting new business opportunities, while also delivering end-to-end advisory support to clients. You will play a central role in driving revenue growth, combining internal referral generation with proactive external business development. Working closely with regional teams and professional introducers, you will build a strong pipeline of SME clients requiring funding solutions. Key Responsibilities • Generate new business through a combination of: • Internal referrals (circa 50%) • External relationships (circa 50%) including accountants, lawyers, and your own network • Build and maintain a strong introducer network in the SME/OMB market • Assess client funding requirements and identify appropriate financing solutions • Prepare and present high-quality information packs for lenders • Manage lender discussions, negotiations, and credit processes • Act as a trusted advisor, supporting clients beyond the initial transaction Candidate Profile • Proven track record in business development or relationship management within: • Banking • Professional Services • Asset-based lending • Debt advisory • Commercial finance • Experience working with SME / owner-managed businesses • Ability to originate, structure, and deliver deals end-to-end • Financially literate with the ability to interpret accounts • Highly commercial, driven, and comfortable working in a target-led environment What's on Offer • Competitive base salary • Uncapped comms structure with strong earning potential If this job isn't quite right for you, but you know someone who would be great at this role, why not take advantage of our referral scheme?
