Business Administrator Location: Jarrow, Tyne & Wear Salary: £27,000 per annum Holiday Entitlement: 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday About the Role I am looking for an organised and proactive Business Administrator to join a growing team in Jarrow for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a varied and autonomous role providing administrative support across the business, working closely with senior management and operational teams to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day activities.The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting recruitment, onboarding, training, HR administration, purchasing, travel arrangements, and accommodation bookings. No two days are the same, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and working collaboratively with multiple departments. Key Responsibilities • Recruitment & Onboarding. • Support recruitment activities, particularly during peak seasonal periods where large volumes of temporary employees are required. • Coordinate interviews and maintain candidate records. • Prepare and issue employment contracts. • Manage new starter documentation and onboarding processes. • Ensure all employee records are accurate and compliant. HR Administration • Provide day-to-day HR administrative support. • Maintain training records and personnel files. • Assist with employee documentation and general HR queries. • Support managers with administrative requirements relating to their teams. Training Coordination • Identify and monitor training requirements for new staff. • Book training courses and manage attendance records. • Coordinate training schedules and communicate arrangements to employees. Operational & Administrative Support • Provide administrative support to Operational Managers and other departments. • Assist departments that have limited or standalone administrative support. • Arrange travel and accommodation bookings for employees and visitors. • Support accommodation arrangements for seasonal workers where required. Purchasing Support • Provide purchasing administration support, particularly during quieter winter months. • Raise purchase orders and liaise with suppliers. • Maintain purchasing records and documentation.
