Job description

Business Analyst - Distribution/Logistics Hybrid after probation Our client is seeking a proactive and versatile IT Business Analyst to join their European Information Systems Centre, supporting business operations across the EMEA region. This is an exciting opportunity to become the vital link between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping to deliver innovative global systems and technology solutions. You'll play a key role in translating business requirements into effective IT solutions that enhance customer-facing platforms and internal operational systems. As an IT Business Analyst, you will work closely with business users, external partners, and Global IT teams to ensure technology solutions align with business objectives. You will support projects throughout their lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering through to implementation, testing, and user adoption. Key Responsibilities • Lead workshops and discovery sessions with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document detailed business requirements. • Translate business needs into clear Business Requirement Specifications (BRS) and functional documentation for technical development teams. • Support systems integration projects by ensuring accurate process mapping and end-to-end data integrity. • Assist with project delivery, monitoring milestones and ensuring technical solutions meet business expectations. • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), business implementation activities, and post-go-live adoption. • Produce user guides, process documentation, and training materials. • Act as the key liaison between EMEA business users and Global IT teams, providing regular project updates and stakeholder communication. You will have: • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Business Analyst or within a similar systems-focused role. • Previous experience within Freight, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related industry (highly desirable). • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify scalable solutions. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. • A collaborative approach, whilst being confident working independently when required. • Excellent attention to detail, particularly around process mapping and documentation. • The ability to manage changing priorities within a dynamic global business. Technical Skills • Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, including Visio and/or Power BI. • Experience supporting Systems Integration projects involving APIs, EDI, or ERP implementations/migrations. • Knowledge of project delivery methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or PRINCE2.
