Freight Sales Specialist • Job Type: Full-time • Location: Tilbury • Salary: up to £38,000 DOE We are seeking an experienced BDM with a strong background in freight forwarding sales across sea, air, and road modalities. This role is perfect for a dynamic professional who has a proven track record in sales and business development within the freight industry. Day-to-day of the role: • Identify and source new business opportunities, leveraging both personal leads and those provided by the Sales and Operations teams. • Develop new sales across FCL/LCL sea freight, air freight, and road freight for both imports and exports. • Operate flexibly with responsibilities both in-office and in the field to meet sales targets. • Prepare accurate quotations, ensuring the inclusion of all relevant terms and clauses. Required Skills & Qualifications: • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in freight sales (sea, air, and road) within a freight forwarding environment. • A proven track record in sales and business development. • Comprehensive knowledge of the global freight industry. • Exceptional negotiation skills and strong attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanour. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. • A collaborative and dynamic team spirit. • Outstanding English and mathematics skills.
