The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a successful sales team. The role will focus on identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships across a diverse range of markets. This is a consultative sales position suited to an ambitious and commercially driven individual who enjoys building long-term relationships and delivering tailored solutions to customers. Key Responsibilities • Identify and secure new business opportunities within target sectors. • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline. • Build relationships with key decision-makers including procurement, operations and senior management teams. • Conduct customer meetings, presentations and product demonstrations. • Prepare quotations, proposals and commercial agreements. • Negotiate contracts and successfully close new business opportunities. • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer delivery. • Manage and develop existing accounts to maximise revenue opportunities. • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts. • Attend industry exhibitions, networking events and trade shows. Candidate Requirements Essential • Proven track record in B2B business development or field sales. • Demonstrable success in winning new business and achieving sales targets. • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills. • Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels. • Self-motivated with a proactive and resilient approach. • Full UK driving licence. Desirable • Experience selling manufactured products, industrial solutions or consumable products. • Knowledge of healthcare, hospitality, events, education or commercial sectors. • Experience using CRM systems. • Background in solution-led or consultative sales.
