Business Manager – Corporate Collection and SupportLocation: Greater Manchester (Hybrid Working) Contract Length: 12 Months Rate/Salary: Negotiable Sector: Local Government Venn Group is partnering with a Local Authority in Greater Manchester to recruit a Business Manager – Corporate Collection and Support on a 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operational leader to drive performance across a large, multi-disciplinary service covering Council Tax, Business Rates, Housing Benefits, Council Tax Support, Welfare Support, Housing Rents, and Accounts Payable & Receivable. The RoleReporting to the Head of Corporate Collection and Support, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across key service areas, ensuring excellent outcomes for residents, businesses and stakeholders while supporting continuous improvement and transformation initiatives. Key responsibilities include: • Leading and managing Corporate Collection and Support teams to deliver high-quality services. • Driving performance through effective KPI management, reporting and quality assurance frameworks. • Leading service improvement, digital transformation and automation projects. • Supporting workforce planning, succession planning and service resilience. • Working collaboratively with senior leaders, elected members and external stakeholders. • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and statutory requirements. • Supporting the delivery of accessible, customer-focused services across the borough. About YouThe successful candidate will have: • Significant experience managing large, multi-disciplinary teams. • A strong track record of improving service performance and delivering against challenging objectives. • Experience leading transformation, modernisation and business improvement programmes. • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills. • Strong leadership, communication and organisational abilities. • Experience within Revenues, Benefits, Income Collection, Customer Services or Local Government environments would be highly advantageous.
