Business Support Officer
• Job Type: Temporary, Full-time
• Location: Bury, BL9 7TD
• Duration: 1-2 months
• Pay Rate: £13.85 - £14.58 per hour
• Working Hours: 8:45am till 5pm (Office Based)
Bury Council are looking for a dedicated Business Support Officer to join our Integrated Hospital Discharge Team. This role is crucial in coordinating discharge referrals, ensuring efficient data entry, and acting as the first point of contact for the service. The ideal candidate will have experience with the LAS Protocol System and will contribute to the team by providing comprehensive business support through specialist and technical administrative duties.
Day-to-day of the role:
• Coordinate discharge referrals, accurately entering information onto the internal system.
• Act as the first point of contact for the service, managing calls, and ensuring messages are directed appropriately.
• Record admissions and discharges to support accurate financial monitoring and keep all relevant systems up to date.
• Retrieve information from computerised databases, manipulate data, create non-standard reports, and correct errors.
• Assist with the development and introduction of new office and information systems.
• Analyse and validate service-specific information, coordinating business support for seminars and large events.
• Prepare papers, agendas, and undertake progress chasing for various projects.
• Monitor and maintain budget information and analyse statistical and financial data.
• Support the coordination of large events and group meetings, including minute/note-taking and producing accurate minutes.
• Coordinate project work and lead specific project work streams to support the delivery of high-quality service.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Experience with LAS Protocol System.
• Strong administrative and coordination skills.
• Ability to handle complex, confidential, and sensitive information.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in using computerised systems for data entry and report generation.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with various stakeholders.
• Valid UK Driving licence and access to a vehicle.
