Business Support Officer • Location: S2, Sheffield • Job Type: Full-time, Temporary • Salary: £13.45 per hour We are seeking a dedicated Business Support Officer to join our team in Sheffield. This role is crucial in creating a high-quality and positive image of our service among customers, including the public and Funeral Directors, partners, and the wider community. The ideal candidate will provide a high-quality experience for customers, handling enquiries and complaints with professionalism and sensitivity. Day-to-day of the role: • Interact with customers via telephone, electronically, or face-to-face, ensuring prompt responses to enquiries and efficient purchasing of memorials. • Handle and resolve customer complaints with a professional and sympathetic approach, considering their religious, cultural, and individual needs. • Assist with chapel duties as required, providing support during services and ensuring all preparations meet the specific needs of the services. • Maintain a high degree of accuracy in data inputting and correspondence with customers, ensuring all information is up-to-date and correctly recorded. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Experience in customer services within a face-to-face environment, preferably involving interactions with bereaved individuals, though this is not essential. • Proficiency in Windows-based products is highly desirable. • Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar customer service role, dealing with the public and providing an efficient and empathetic front-line service. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations delicately. • A flexible and sympathetic approach to work, aiming to meet the diverse needs of our customers and the service.
