Title: Buyer Location: Shipley Salary: up to £37,000 Elevation Recruitment Group's Procurement & Supply Chain division are supporting a growing Manufacturer in Shipley in their search for an experienced Buyer. The Buyer will work alongside the Senior Buyer to support buying and negotiating across a broad range of SKUs and categories. Alongside joining a supportive Manager, the Buyer will receive a flexible working arrangement as well as: • Competitive salary of £33,000 - £37,000 • 37.5-hour working week with flex-e-time • Private medical cover • 13:00 finish on Fridays • Gym membership discount Key duties of the Buyer will include: • Negotiating prices with suppliers and placing purchase orders, ensuring delivery promises are maintained • Engaging with project and engineering teams to communicate and improve delivery schedules • Reviewing and developing suppliers, negotiating contracts with new and existing suppliers • Working cross-functionally with business units to improve processes and update systems accordingly Key Skills & Experience required: • Experience in procurement within a manufacturing / engineering environment • Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasive skills • Ability to work collaboratively within teams and engage with various business units • A problem-solving mindset with strategic thinking and planning capabilities • A proactive approach to suggesting and implementing process improvements Are you ready for a new challenge and match the above criteria?
