Job description

Job TitleDomiciliary Carer Job PurposeTo provide friendly, compassionate care and support to people in their own homes, helping them live safely, comfortably, and as independently as possible. Main Duties • Support clients with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting • Help clients prepare meals and drinks and support them with eating if needed • Assist with light household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping • Provide companionship and emotional support • Help clients take medication as instructed and in line with company procedures • Encourage clients to remain as independent as possible • Follow each client's care plan and respect their choices and preferences • Report any concerns or changes in a client's health or wellbeing to your supervisor • Complete care records accurately after each visit • Follow health and safety, infection control, and safeguarding procedures • Attend training and team meetings as required Person SpecificationEssential • Kind, caring, and respectful attitude • Good communication skills • Reliable and punctual • Willingness to learn and complete training • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team • Right to work in the UK Desirable • Previous experience in care is helpful but not essential Working HoursFlexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, and bank holidays, depending on service needs.
