Category Manager Vacancy
• Annual Salary: up to £50k per annum
• Location: Watford, Hertfordshire
• Job Type: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

We are currently seeking a Category Manager to join our Commercial Services team based in Leavesden, where you will drive commercial transformation across our UK operations, creating smarter ways of working that unlock value, strengthen partnerships, and set us up for long-term success.
Day-to-day of the role:
• Procure and manage a portfolio of categories (specifically Travel &HR) to optimise value to the business through strategic supplier selection and supplier relationship management.
• Develop category procurement strategies to clearly demonstrate and seek approval from stakeholders on how a product/service will be strategically procured.
• Undertake request for proposals (RFP) applying a balanced scorecard approach to select suppliers based on criteria relevant to client’s and business objectives.
• Draft recommendations (business case) for approval to demonstrate how and why a supplier has been selected.
• Draft, negotiate, and execute robust agreements/contracts incorporating relevant policies, to reflect the deal, and protect the business from risk.
• Work with suppliers to drive innovation and improvement in digital, reduce cost, carbon reduction, improve safety, increase quality, deliver social value, or reduce time to deliver successful projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Experience in Travel and HR procurement categories is an advantage.
• Oracle Fusion (ERP) experience desirable but not essential.
• Professionalism and good corporate governance.
