Job description

We are working closely with a chartered financial planning firm during a period of sustained growth. This is a lifestyle planning business with a refreshing, modern approach. Every client receives goals-based, cash flow led advice, and the culture is genuinely down to earth. There are no egos and no old school sales tactics here. The firm holds chartered status, is certified to recognised quality and ISO standards, and runs on a clear, accountable operating model. It is well run, financially strong and growing steadily. The lead planner is at capacity and needs an experienced chartered planner to take on a meaningful share of an established client bank. This is a servicing role, not a sales seat. There is no new business target and no requirement to hunt for clients. Your focus is to look after existing clients brilliantly and spot the holistic planning opportunities that naturally sit within that book. It is a rare chance to step into a warm, well-serviced client bank with the backing of a strong support team, genuine progression, and a route towards leadership and equity for the right person. Key Responsibilities • Take ownership of a portion of the existing client bank and service it to a high standard • Deliver lifestyle, goals-based financial planning with cash flow modelling at the centre • Carry out annual reviews and ongoing advice across pensions, investments and wider planning • Support the para planning team on more technical and advanced cases • Identify opportunities within existing client relationships through holistic planning The Ideal Candidate: • Chartered, or very close to chartered • Strong technical knowledge, ideally built through a para planning route into advice • A true lifestyle planner who leads with the client's goals rather than the product • Warm, personable and able to build trust quickly • Comfortable with cash flow planning tools such as Voyant • Down to earth, collaborative and focused on continual improvement Package and working pattern • Salary up to £80,000, depending on experience and the level of client servicing • Quarterly bonus structure, with scope to grow earnings as you take on more of the book • Flexibility to discuss transferring your own AUM, including a possible book purchase, for the right candidate • Office based for the first few weeks to bed in and get to know the team, then hybrid on a sensible, trust-based basis • Modern office with plenty of nearby amenities • Clear path to leadership, a future MBO and equity for the right person How to apply This role is being handled exclusively by Burton Recruitment. For a confidential conversation, please get in touch. All enquiries are treated in the strictest confidence.
