Job description

KM Recruitment is a specialist UK wide recruiter for the Skills and Employability sectors. Job Title: Chef / Hospitality Assessor (Trainee or Qualified) Full training and support will be given to candidates to achieve the Level 3 Award in Education and Training. Location: Home/Field based - Must be flexible with travel across Birmingham and surrounding areas Salary: £31,600 - £34,300 - salary dependent on qualifications Package: Excellent Holiday Entitlement, Mileage + much more! Type: Full-time, Permanent A great opportunity to transition to a new and rewarding career within the training industry! Full training and support will be given to Trainee candidates to achieve the Level 3 Teaching qualification. Essential Criteria: • Hold a Level 2 Hospitality / Pro Cookery qualification, or above. • Must have worked at Commis Chef level. • Must have experience of fresh food preparation. • Experience of managing BOH staff, ideally up to Head Chef/Kitchen Manager level. • Must have experience of working Front of House, with demonstrable progression from Team Member, through to Supervisor, through to General Manager. • Must be IT literate. • Must be confident to support learners Maths and English Functional Skills. • Full driving licence and use of own vehicle. • Must be flexible with travel. Duties include: • Delivering full Apprenticeship Standards in Hospitality (Front and Back of House specialisms). • Delivering via a blended learning approach (Remote/face-to-face delivery). • Delivering Maths and English Functional Skills Level 2. • Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted. • Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress. • Support, advise and motivate learners. • Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs. • Meet Assessor KPI’s in terms of timely visits, quality paperwork and general administration.
