Our Client, a Greater Manchester council is seeking a Team Manager to join their Cared for Children Team.

Responsibilities of this role:
• Lead, manage and support a team of Social Workers and practitioners working with cared for children and young people, ensuring high-quality practice and positive outcomes.
• Oversee assessment, care planning, permanency planning and statutory reviews for children in care, ensuring plans are child-centred and outcome-focused.
• Provide management oversight and direction on complex cases, supporting effective decision-making, risk management and safeguarding practice.
• Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners, including education, health, fostering services and independent reviewing officers, to meet the needs of cared for children.
• Monitor team performance, quality of practice and statutory compliance, ensuring assessments, visits and care plans are completed within required timescales.
• Promote the voice of the child in all planning and decision-making, ensuring children and young people are actively involved in shaping their futures.
• Provide regular supervision, support and professional development opportunities to staff, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to service development and strategic planning, driving improvements that enhance outcomes, stability and permanence for cared for children.
Requirements of this role:
• Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
• Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
