Our Client, a Greater Manchester council is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their Advice and Guidance Service.

Responsibilities of this role:
• Screen and assess contacts received by Children's Services, identifying levels of need, risk, and appropriate interventions.
• Undertake robust safeguarding decision-making, ensuring children and young people receive the right support at the right time.
• Apply David Thorpe's Conversational Model to engage with children, families, and professionals, gathering and analysing relevant information.
• Conduct timely assessments of risk and protective factors, making evidence-based recommendations and referrals.
• Work collaboratively with Family Help, Early Help, and partner agencies to ensure effective multi-agency responses and seamless service delivery.
• Provide advice, guidance, and consultation to professionals regarding safeguarding concerns and thresholds for intervention.
• Maintain accurate, high-quality records and reports in line with statutory requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Manage a fast-paced workload, prioritising competing demands while maintaining high standards of professional practice and safeguarding outcomes.
Requirements of this role:
• Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
• Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
