Job description

We are in search of Civil Litigation Solicitor to join the firm providing a comprehensive range of legal services to individuals and businesses across the West Midlands and nationwide. What you’ll be doing: • Managing your own caseload of civil litigation matters; • Handling disputes including commercial and residential landlord and tenant matters, building disputes, debt recovery, contract disputes, and general litigation; • Taking client instructions and advising on funding options; • Dealing with client queries by phone and in person; • Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and third parties; • Undertaking pre-action litigation; • Drafting and preparing proceedings, pleadings, schedules of loss, witness statements, and other court documents; • Preparing and advising on applications and related documentation; • Contributing to business development and maintaining the firm’s high professional standards. RequirementsWhat we’re looking for: • UK-qualified Solicitor with 2+ years’ PQE; • Strong experience in civil litigation; • Ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision; • Good working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules; • Strong drafting, advocacy, and negotiation skills; • Excellent client care, communication, and organisational skills; • Advocacy and contentious probate experience would be an advantage.
