Driver Hire Southampton are currently recruiting for experienced Class 1 Drivers to join our clients which specialises in general haulage deliveries. Information about this Class 1 position: • AD HOC work (between Monday to Friday) • Delivering palletised goods on a Class 1 curtain sider • Completing deliveries and some collections around the South Coast area • Day and Night shifts available (10-12 hour days on average) • Pallets are loaded and unloaded for you with FLT • Night shifts include trunk runs and trailer swaps • Communicating with Transport Office, following provided routes, completing all relevant paperwork correctly Requirements from you as a Class 1 Driver: • Full UK Class 1 licence with valid CPC and Digi card • Minimum of 1 year experience driving a Class 1 vehicle • Great communication skills • Experience with curtain side trailers/ general haulage deliveries/ strapping • Own transport to commute to and from work • Fantastic time keeping and communications skills • Complete daily vehicle checks • Comply with the companies health and safety procedures • Record Tacho hours correctly Benefits of a Class 1 Driver working for Driver Hire Southampton: • Weekly pay • PAYE or PAYE Advanced payment methods • Onsite parking • CPC and licence upgrading with Driver Hire Training • Consistent communication with our dedicated in-house team • Training provided by our client • Generous referral scheme • 24/7 support Driver Hire Southampton is an agency which provides staff cover to a range of companies within the Southampton and Winchester area.
