About the Role Key Responsibilities As a Class 1 Driver, you will: • Operate curtain-side or flatbed trailers to safely collect and deliver customer products, ensuring all journeys are completed to a high professional standard. • Ensure all goods are loaded, secured, and protected using appropriate equipment such as straps, nets, and other load-securing devices to prevent movement or damage during transit. • Carry out comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company-issued device, maintaining full compliance and always ensuring vehicle reliability. • Undertake nights out as required, bringing variety to your weekly schedule while supporting operational needs. • Maintain consistent communication with the transport team, providing updates on progress and ensuring customer expectations are met. • Participate in regular training and development to stay aligned with industry standards, safety requirements, and best practice. • Demonstrate flexibility within the role. Essential Skills and Qualifications • Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence. • Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card. • Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous. • Tanker experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given. • Passionate about providing excellent customer service. • Ability to work to deadlines. • Confident, polite, and a team player. • Good geographical knowledge. • Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated. You will receive an enhanced rate for any hours worked at weekends and all hours worked between 21:00 and 04:00 hours. • Shift Hours: Various shifts are available. Monday to Friday, Tuesday to Saturday and Sunday to Thursday.
