Job description

We are currently looking for a Clerical Officer to provide administrative support to our Hartlepool team. The successful candidate will be joining a leading not-for-profit organisation that provides independent living services to people with disabilities and health care needs nationwide. Location: Penderels Trust, 81 Stranton, Hartlepool, TS24 7QT. The induction period is office based for 6 weeks with hybrid working available thereafter. Salary: £25,366 per annum / £19,196 pro rata Hours: 28 hours per week. Working days & times: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9:00 am to 4:30 pm Perks: Investors in People: Gold Accreditation / Mindful Employer / Health and Wellbeing Champions / Employee assistance programme / Corporate Health Cash Plan / Subsidised car breakdown cover / Death in service benefit / Paynow (Stream) / 23 Days annual leave plus Bank Holidays (Increased entitlement with length of service) / 2 Additional leave days in December (After 12 months’ service) The Role of Clerical Officer - Your main duties will include: • Providing a professional customer service experience to all callers on behalf of the Hartlepool team. • Providing clerical support to all staff including production of letters and other paperwork, producing invoices, minuting meetings and providing recruitment support. • Managing an internal database, including the uploading of new referrals and other relevant documentation. • Producing accurate statistics and reports. • Receiving and recording all incoming/outgoing mail. • Monitoring and replenishing office stationery stocks. Skills, Experience and Qualifications -We are looking for someone with the following attributes: • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (including Word, Excel and Outlook). • Ability to input and maintain accurate data records. • Ability to manage workload effectively. • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative. • Ability to work flexibly and to deadlines. • Ability to produce business correspondence to a high standard. • Experience in a customer service environment. • Experience of minute taking. • GCSE Grade '4' or equivalent in English and Maths.
