Clinical Lead for Regional Ophthalmology Programme

Providing clear Clinical Leadership for the programme Developing strong two-way communication links with all clinical colleagues across the region, representing their views within the programme and sharing information about programme direction. Working with Programme Executive and SRO to develop the strategy and forward plans. Leading on Clinical Governance for the programme Working with the Clinical Representatives from Aneurin Bevan, Cardiff and Vale and Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Boards to gain clear clinical consensus across the region. Overseeing all of the clinical and patient safety elements of the programme and ensuring they are in line with evidence based best practice. Leading on the co-creation of clinical pathways with clinical colleagues Implement new, forward thinking and innovative ways to deliver services within the programme Ensure all service designs offer optimal experiences for patients Provide the main link for the programme with the Royal college of Ophthalmology and ensure links with other clinical bodies Represent the programme on National level alongside the Senior Responsible Officer Lead on third sector engagement on clinical matters. Lead on the clinical elements of patient engagement. Any other duties in line with the purpose of this role.
