What you will do:
• Undertake ultrasound procedures in line with existing modality specific clinical guidelines and protocols (aligned with RCR & SOR Standards).
• Undertake examinations in line with the patient referrals adhering to organisational guidelines.
• Manage a safe, effective, caring and well led environment responsive to our patients, customer, and staff requirements.
• Provide training and support for trainee Sonographers in all areas of scanning and reporting.
• Support the Operational Management Team with operational queries and cover clinics as a Sonographer as required.
• Investigate and respond to service user complaints as appropriate and as directed by management.
• Investigate and manage incidents reported through our incident reporting system as appropriate and as directed by management.
• Provide second opinions upon request and review reports for 2nd reporting as required.
• Direct and supervise the workload of the sonographers under your training and supervision.
• Undertaking a range of audit assignments, involving all aspects of Ultrasound, following consultation with the Consultant Radiologist, Clinical Lead and Head of Service Delivery.
