Cloud Security Engineer

Cloud Security Engineer £580 - £630 per day Contract - 4 months initially Inside IR35 Manchester - Hybrid - 3 days on site We're seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to join a high-performing global security team, helping shape and strengthen the security posture of enterprise cloud platforms. You'll be at the forefront of evaluating cloud services, identifying security risks, and designing robust controls across modern cloud environments. What You'll Be Doing • Reviewing and assessing security risks across cloud platform services. (Azure, AWS or GCP) • Designing, developing, and implementing cloud security controls. • Partnering with infrastructure engineering teams to securely deliver cloud solutions. • Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for cloud security services and best practices. • Conducting threat modelling, security reviews, and security testing activities. • Supporting the adoption and optimisation of CSPM/SSPM tooling and policy-as-code security controls. What We're Looking For • Strong experience within enterprise cloud environments (Azure, AWS and/or GCP). • Hands-on knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or Bicep. • Experience with CSPM/SSPM solutions, cloud security tooling, and cloud governance. • Knowledge of Kubernetes and modern cloud security architectures. • Experience with threat modelling, security testing, and cloud security standards. • Understanding of authentication, cryptography, networking, and enterprise security principles. • Familiarity with policy-as-code security tools such as Terraform Sentinel, Wiz or similar. Desirable Experience • Background within financial services or another regulated environment. • Agile/Scrum delivery experience. • Relevant degree or equivalent industry experience.
