Job description
CNC Miller - join this long-established engineering business with a world-leading reputation, working on high-precision components. Key responsibilities
• Programming, setting and operating CNC machines
• Machine alignments
• CNC milling (with CNC turning and CNC grinding experience also a bonus)
• Working with components and free-issue material of varying qualities
• Using hand tools and standard measuring equipment to tight tolerances
• Reading and understanding engineering drawings/processes
• Working independently with minimal supervision; strong team contribution
• Complying with relevant H&S requirements
• Maintaining ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards throughout the process
Skills & qualifications
• Apprentice trained or time-served engineer (City & Guilds or BTEC level)
• Relevant experience in precision subcontract machining/engineering
• Proactive problem-solver; hard-working and extremely reliable
• Flexibility with working hours when required to meet customer deadlines
