CNC Programmer / Setter Salary: £37,000 – £42,000 per annum Location: Maldon Micom Engineering is seeking a talented CNC Programmer / Setter to join our successful subcontract machining company based in Maldon. Overview of the Role As a CNC Programmer / Setter, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC milling machines. You'll work from technical drawings to produce precise components, ensuring adherence to tight tolerances while self-inspecting your completed work. This position is ideal for a candidate eager to develop their skills and advance their career within the engineering field. Ideal Candidate: • Proven experience programming and operating CNC milling machines. • Proficiency with Siemens Shopmill and Heidenhain systems. • Ability to interpret technical drawings effectively. • Attention to detail and commitment to working within tight tolerances. • Experience with Fusion 360 is an advantage. • Dynamic and proactive approach to work. • A desire to progress in your career and contribute to team success. Key Responsibilities: • Program and set up CNC milling machines in accordance with specifications. • Produce components by interpreting and working from technical drawings. • Ensure quality control through self-inspection of completed jobs. • Prepare machines for production based on works orders. • Write and edit CNC programs as required.
