CNC Setter Operator (Agathon & Rollomatic Machines)
Location: Leicester, LE4 8AS
Salary: £38,000 per annum, increasing to £40,000 after successful completion of probation (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday
• Monday – Thursday: 6:00am – 3:00pm (30-minute break)
• Friday: 6:00am – 11:00am
About the Role
We are looking for a highly precise and detail-oriented CNC Setter Operator with at least 2 years' experience in high-precision grinding. The successful candidate will have experience setting and operating Agathon and Rollomatic CNC grinding machines, producing high-quality precision tools to tight tolerances from engineering drawings.

Core Competencies
• Expert in setting up and operating CNC grinding machines.
• Proficient in interpreting and editing Fanuc/G-code-based controls to optimise grinding programmes.
• Skilled in using manual and electronic measuring equipment to ensure first-off and in-process accuracy.
• Strong commitment to ISO quality standards, 5S principles, and health & safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
• Set and operate 4 and 5-axis CNC grinding machines.
• Manufacture high-precision components in a high-mix, low-volume production environment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to produce components within tight tolerances.
• Diagnose and resolve machine, tooling, and material issues to minimise downtime and optimise cycle times.
• Carry out routine maintenance and preventative care on machinery.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce set-up times and increase efficiency.
• Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process using precision measuring equipment.
Skills & Experience
• Minimum of 2 years' experience setting and operating Agathon and/or Rollomatic CNC grinding machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with Fanuc/G-code programming and editing is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
• Team player with a positive, can-do attitude and excellent communication skills.
