Colorectal Clinical Educator

Closing date - 05 August 2026 Interview date - 19 August 2026 The Clinical Educator will support the organisation and delivery of high-quality teaching for undergraduate medical students during clinical placements at UHDB. The post holder will facilitate learning to ensure students achieve key competencies, developing the knowledge, clinical skills and professional behaviours required for effective patient care. Working closely with the Undergraduate Medical Education team and clinical colleagues, the role includes planning and delivering a range of educational activities such as student induction, bedside teaching, clinical workshops and small group sessions. The post holder will help coordinate learning opportunities across clinical settings, including clinics, theatres and ward environments. The Clinical Educator will provide ongoing supervision, support and feedback to students, contributing to their assessment and ensuring appropriate escalation where pastoral or conduct concerns arise. They will also support the delivery of student examinations and teaching programmes. The role contributes to the continuous improvement of education provision, including reviewing teaching effectiveness and supporting service development to enhance the student experience Working as part of the multidisciplinary team, the post holder will maintain strong communication with clinical and education leads, support patient involvement in teaching, and uphold high standards of professional practice, ensuring care is delivered in line with Trust policies and values.
