Commercial Account Executive Location: Wakefield (Onsite) Salary: Competitive Base + Bonus structure + Mileage (Neg DOE) Sector: Mid-Market & Corporate Commercial Insurance Cowell Recruitment is proud to partner with a dynamic, independent brokerage in Wakefield currently entering an exciting phase of growth. We are looking for an experienced Commercial Account Executive who is as comfortable negotiating a complex Commercial policies. Key Responsibilities • High-Level Prospecting: Proactively generate and secure new commercial business, with a focus on larger cases , SME, and mid-market clients. • Full Sales Lifecycle: Take ownership of the process—from sector mapping and initial outreach to technical pitching and closing. • Expert Broking: Leverage your multi-class expertise (including Liability, Property, Business Interruption, Fleet, and Contract Works) to design robust insurance programmes. • Market Negotiation: Utilise your "standing" in the market to negotiate the best possible terms with a broad insurer panel. • Technical Management: Maintain flawless records using Acturis and collaborate with internal handlers to ensure gold-standard service. Experience & Qualifications Required • Ideally Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a commercial broking or AE role. • Proven experience handling larger commercial cases (£100k+), as well as SME and mid-market clients • Strong working knowledge of Acturis • Multi-class expertise, including liability, property, business interruption, fleet, and contract works • Exceptional broking and negotiation skills • Outstanding organisational abilities with a keen eye for detail • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills • Ideally 5 years’ experience • Cert CII is required; Dip CII is highly preferred.
