Job description

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a global supplier business based in Kent as they look to recruit a new Commercial Pricing Analyst into the team. The purpose of the role is to serve as a critical business partner to both the Finance and Sales Director as well as the Finance Team, transforming complex market data into actionable pricing strategies. This role will not just "monitor" data but will proactively identify revenue leakages and lead initiatives to optimise Gross Margin and Price Elasticity across our B2B cable product portfolio. It will be a varied role with duties to include: - • Develop and maintain pricing models and tools to ensure competitiveness and profitability • Analyse pricing data and customer behaviour to recommend adjustments • Conduct margin analysis and contribute to price-setting for bids and tenders • Monitor competitor pricing and market trends in the UK cables sector • Support the commercial and sales teams with data-driven insights to inform strategy • Evaluate customer performance, contract profitability, and deal structures • Identify opportunities for commercial optimisation across product lines • Partner with finance and sales teams to support forecasting and business planning • Build and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Excel, SQL and Hubpsot etc and data visualisation software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) • Track KPIs and provide regular performance updates to leadership • Support ad hoc analysis for strategic projects and pricing reviews • Drive continuous improvement in pricing and commercial processes • Ensure accuracy and integrity of pricing and sales data across systems Collaborating and working as a part of the sales teams • Respectfully communicating with all other members of the sales and finance teams and other colleagues in the business • Championing and the creation of supportive inclusive working environment • Coaching and training new team members To be successful you will ideally have the following skills and experiences: - • 3+ years in a commercial, pricing, or revenue management role, ideally within distribution, manufacturing, or utilities. • Previous commercial and financial experience of analysing financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and undertaking financial modelling to support strategic decision-making • Business Partnering/Stakeholder Management • Good Business Acumen • Experience of working with complex pricing models and market data • Strong analytical skills • Proficiency in analysing large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
