Job description

Opus People Solutions are hiring for a Commissioning Officer within a Local Authority client based in North Northamptonshire. The role is 37 hours per week, offering flexible working, and £320 per day umbrella, with a contract length of 4 months+. Please see a high-level overview of what the position involves below: • Supporting the commissioning, implementation and development of the Best Start in Life Family Hubs Programme. * Coordinating commissioning activities, contract management and performance monitoring to improve outcomes for children, young people and families. * Analysing performance, quality and financial data to produce reports, recommendations and commissioning insights. * Supporting stakeholder engagement with service users, providers, partners and local communities to inform service design and improvement. * Assisting with the development of service specifications, tender documentation and procurement activity for public health services. * Supporting strategic action plans relating to perinatal mental health, parent-infant relationships, infant feeding and parenting support. The ideal candidate will have experience with: • Commissioning, contract management and performance monitoring within public sector or health-related services. * Project coordination, stakeholder engagement and service improvement initiatives. * Analysing data and producing reports, briefing papers and recommendations for senior stakeholders. * Writing service specifications, supporting procurement exercises and evaluating tender submissions. * Working within Public Health, Health Improvement, Social Care or wider health and wellbeing services. * Previous experience within Local Government.
