Job description
The successful applicant will:
• Provide comprehensive consultant-led care in Head & Neck Oncology and ENT surgery
• Participate fully in the regional Head & Neck MDT and associated clinics
• Contribute to thyroid and parathyroid surgery including retrosternal thyroid pathways
• Work collaboratively with Plastic Surgery colleagues delivering reconstructive oncological services
• Participate in collaborative skull base and mediastinal pathways with Neurosurgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery colleagues
• Support development of robotic Head & Neck surgery aligned with the Trusts wider robotic surgery strategy
• Contribute to emergency ENT services through participation in a 1:8 on-call rota
• Support teaching, training, audit, governance and research activities
• Participate in regional pathway development across Devon and Cornwall
The department operates with a flexible and collegiate consultant structure to ensure sustainable delivery of complex tertiary Head & Neck services. While the successful candidate would not be expected to independently provide all specialist service components, there are excellent opportunities to develop complementary expertise within the consultant group.
