Consultant Haematologist

Please see attached Job Description for full details The post holder will be a member of the Medical Specialities Directorate in STSFT and will be part of the Consultant team that will deliver clinical and laboratory Haematology services across Sunderland, South Tyneside and Gateshead. In conjunction with the other Haematologists, the post holder will contribute to the overall organisation and planning of the service. They will be responsible for providing an out-patient service, including the monitoring of chemotherapy. As part of their on-call commitments, the post holder will be responsible for Haematology in-patients at SRH, providing Haematology advice to GPs south of Tyne & Wear and hospital specialities on all 3 sites and will undertake blood film reporting for all 3 sites.
