Location: Swindon Salary: £35,000 Type: Full Time, Permanent About the Opportunity Are you someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and working across both commercial and operational teams? We're recruiting for a Contract Executive to join a growing logistics and supply chain business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in logistics, customer service, account management, operations or commercial support who is looking to take the next step in their career. This role sits at the heart of the business, acting as the link between customers and operational teams to ensure contracts are running smoothly, customer expectations are met and commercial objectives are achieved. We're not necessarily looking for someone who has done this exact role before. Instead, we're looking for someone with the right attitude, commercial awareness and desire to learn. Full support and development will be provided, with a genuine pathway into a future Contract Manager position. What You'll Be Doing • Managing and supporting a portfolio of customer contracts • Engaging with internal stakeholders to review commercial arrangements and productivity analysis • Assist with drafting and reviewing contracts and ongoing contract management, such as performance review, annual rate review and contract renewals • Assist with negotiating terms and conditions and contract pricing • Building strong relationships with key customer contacts • Acting as the main link between customers and operational teams • Monitoring service performance and customer KPIs • Supporting contract reviews and commercial discussions • Investigating and resolving customer issues • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement • Supporting new customer projects and growth initiatives • Producing reports and analysing performance data • Working closely with operational, finance and senior leadership teams What We're Looking For You'll ideally have: • Experience managing contractual customer relationships • Strong communication and organisational skills • Good commercial awareness • The ability to analyse information and identify solutions • Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel Why Apply? • Clear career progression into Contract Management • Exposure to strategic customer accounts • Opportunity to develop commercial and operational expertise • Varied and interesting workload • Collaborative and supportive team environment • Long-term career opportunities within a growing business This role would suit a Contracts Executive, Commercial Executive, Supply Chain Coordinator, Account Manager or similar professional looking to broaden their experience and develop their career within contract logistics.
