Job description

Contracts & Procurement Lawyer needed in Barking Paying £28.60 per hr ref 2101 Full time hours on a temporary basis We are seeking an experienced Contracts & Procurement Lawyer to join a busy legal team, providing high-quality legal advice and support on a wide range of commercial, contractual, and procurement matters. You will manage your own caseload, advise clients on procurement and contract law issues, draft and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, and support complex projects from inception through to completion. The successful candidate will have experience advising on procurement processes and commercial contracts, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and the ability to provide practical, risk-based legal advice to stakeholders. At PO5 level, you will be expected to manage complex matters independently, advise on governance issues, support senior lawyers, deliver training, and lead on significant procurement and contractual projects. Applicants should be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive with proven experience in Contracts and Procurement Law. Strong communication skills, the ability to build effective working relationships, and experience managing a varied caseload are essential.
