Eventus Legal are seeking a permanent Conveyancing Assistant to join the residential property team of a well-established law firm in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands. This full-time Conveyancing Assistant job offers the opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative team environment with exposure to a varied caseload of residential property transactions. The position is based in Sutton Coldfield with a working pattern of Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, the firm offer a flexible working policy. About the Role As a Conveyancing Assistant, you will provide essential support to fee earners and conveyancers across a busy residential property department, helping to ensure transactions progress efficiently from instruction through to completion. This Conveyancing Assistant job offers plenty of variety and client interaction, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced and collaborative legal environment. Key responsibilities include: • Supporting conveyancers with the progression of residential property transactions from instruction through to completion • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and third parties throughout transactions • Coordinating client onboarding processes and ensuring regulatory requirements are satisfied • Managing anti-money laundering checks, identification verification and source of funds procedures • Preparing contract documentation and supporting papers for sales, purchases and remortgages • Requesting searches and monitoring outstanding enquiries to assist with transaction progression • Assisting with exchange and completion processes to ensure matters conclude efficiently • Maintaining accurate records and updating case management systems throughout transactions • Managing incoming correspondence, telephone calls and email enquiries professionally and promptly • Supporting with post-completion administration and file closure activities • Assisting with diary management and general departmental administration where required About You The successful candidate will already have experience within a residential conveyancing environment and will be comfortable supporting a busy team handling a varied workload. You will enjoy building relationships with clients and colleagues alike and will take pride in delivering a high standard of service while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
